BOOKED CHECK IN: The customer arrives at the airport of intended departure 30 minutes before departure if booked via reservation system.
NON-BOOKED WALK IN: The customer arrives at the airport of intended departure 45 minutes before departure if the customer is a walk in.

Hazardous Materials
Passengers must declare Hazardous materials prior to transport. Hazardous materials may be denied transport if they are deemed unsafe or may cause undue risk to passengers and crew. Customers are expected to have the required Hazardous materials paperwork prior to shipping and all hazardous materials should be labeled accordingly. Hazardous materials include, but are not limited to explosives, fireworks, and ammunition, gasses and aerosols, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers and organic peroxides, toxic and infectious materials, corrosives, some lithium batteries, and some cleaning solvents.
If Hazardous paperwork needs to be completed prior to a flight, 70 North Staff will complete the paperwork for a nominal fee of $50 dollars per form. All hazardous material may be shipped as freight and is subject to shipping delays. Please see the following link to complete a Shipper’s Declaration of Hazardous Materials.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed as per FAA regulations.
No-Show policy
We do not offer refunds for No-Shows.
Refund policy
All tickets are valid for use only on flights operated by 70 North. Tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. No refunds will be issued after 90 days from the date of purchase. Flight changes are permitted free of charge. Tickets can be transferred between passengers.

Unclaimed Items
Unclaimed freight items or Baggage may be discarded 30 days after notification. 70 North is not responsible for unmarked or improperly packaged items. Passengers are asked to ensure they count all baggage before and after every flight to ensure they have all of their items.
Children and unaccompanied minors (16 or younger) travel policies
Children under the age of 2 may be a lap infant per FAA regulation. One lap infant per adult. An unaccompanied minor may fly alone on a case by case basis with a pre-arranged parent or guardian for pickup. The parent or guardian picking up the unaccompanied minor(s) must be listed when booking a seat. The listed person picking up an unaccompanied minor(s) will be required to show a state or federal picture ID as confirmation they are the designated person authorized to pick up the minor(s).
Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on 70 North flights. Passengers are not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages or smoke during any portion of their flight. Intoxicated passengers may be not allowed to board the aircraft.
Transportation of Illegal Substances
Substances which are classified by the Federal Government, Alaska State Government, the North Slope Borough, or villages of destination, as illegal in nature are prohibited. Those substances are not permitted on any 70 North flight. Per the Federal Government, Marijuana continues to be classed as an illegal substance and therefore is not permitted.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if 70 North Air cancels my flight?
70 North may cancel your flight due to circumstances outside of 70 North’s control including, but not limited to, weather conditions, aircraft mechanical, pilot scheduling, etc.
70 North will reschedule to the earliest available flight at no charge. You will be notified by phone call to the number listed during the booking process.
Am I allowed to ship firearms on a scheduled flight?
Customers are allowed to ship firearms aboard 70 North scheduled flights. All firearms must be unloaded and stowed as to prevent any unintended discharge. All firearms must be checked as baggage in an approved case.
Does 70 North Provide Ground Transportation?
70 North does not provide ground transportation in Nuiqsut. Customers are encouraged to arrange their own transportation prior to departing from Deadhorse. For travelers arriving in Dead horse, 70 North may provide a pickup from the Delta Leasing building, Aurora Hotel, and or the Alaska Airlines Terminal. Pick up is on a first come first serve basis and must be booked at the same time as your ticket. 70 North does not provide pickup service for non-traveling passengers.

For Deadhorse, please call Delta Leasing at 907-659-9056 for parking arrangements. 70 North does not offer long term parking at our facilities.
